Privacy Policy

Last updated 25 August 2026

Rewrite Foods Inc. (“REWRITE,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is responsible for the personal information under its control.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information when you visit our website or join the REWRITE launch waitlist.

  1. Information We Collect

    When you join the waitlist, we collect:

    • the email address you provide;
    • the date and time of your consent;
    • the version of the consent wording presented to you;
    • the webpage from which you submitted the form;
    • the referring webpage, when provided by your browser; and
    • campaign information contained in the webpage address, such as UTM source, medium, campaign, term and content values.

    Our website-hosting, security and email-service providers may also process limited technical information, such as an IP address, browser information, device information and server-request logs, in the ordinary course of delivering, securing and troubleshooting their services.

    The waitlist form does not ask for your name, telephone number, mailing address or payment information.

  2. How We Use Information

    We use personal information to:

    • operate and manage the REWRITE waitlist;
    • confirm your subscription;
    • send the launch and product communications you requested;
    • maintain consent and unsubscribe records;
    • understand which campaigns or channels generate waitlist interest;
    • protect, maintain and troubleshoot the website and waitlist;
    • respond to privacy requests or inquiries; and
    • comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

    We do not sell or rent waitlist information. We do not use waitlist information to create third-party behavioural-advertising profiles.

  3. Consent and Email Communications

    We send launch and product emails only where we have the consent or other lawful authority required to do so.

    You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. We will process unsubscribe requests promptly and no later than required by applicable law.

    Withdrawing consent does not affect uses of information that occurred before the withdrawal or records we are permitted or required to retain.

  4. Service Providers and Processing Outside Canada

    We use service providers to operate the website and waitlist. These providers may process personal information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their contractual terms and applicable law.

    We use Brevo to manage waitlist contacts, double-opt-in confirmation and email communications. Brevo states that its databases are stored in the European Union. As a result, personal information may be processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.

    Rewrite Foods Inc. remains responsible for personal information under its control and takes reasonable steps to select and use service providers that protect it appropriately.

  5. When We Disclose Information

    We may disclose personal information:

    • to service providers that host, secure or support the website and waitlist;
    • where required or permitted by law;
    • to investigate misuse, fraud or security incidents;
    • in connection with a proposed or completed financing, reorganization, merger, sale or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards; or
    • with your consent.

    We do not sell waitlist information.

  6. Retention

    We retain your email address while you remain subscribed to the waitlist or related REWRITE communications.

    If you unsubscribe, we may retain limited information in a suppression record so that we can honour your request and avoid adding you back to the mailing list. We may also retain limited consent and compliance records for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate how and when consent was obtained and withdrawn.

    Other personal information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably required for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to legal, regulatory and legitimate record-keeping requirements.

  7. Safeguards

    We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. These measures include limiting access, using reputable service providers, protecting account credentials and transmitting information through encrypted connections where supported.

    No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  8. Cookies and Analytics

    At launch, the website does not use advertising pixels or non-essential behavioural-tracking cookies.

    The website may use strictly necessary technologies required for security, form operation and basic website functionality. UTM campaign information may be read from the webpage address when you submit the waitlist form.

    If we later introduce analytics, advertising technologies or other materially different tracking, we will update this Policy and implement any consent mechanism required before those technologies are activated.

  9. Access, Correction and Deletion Requests

    You may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to or correction of that information, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

    You may also ask us to delete personal information that is no longer required. We may retain limited information where reasonably necessary to honour an unsubscribe request, maintain compliance records, establish or defend legal rights, or satisfy legal obligations.

    We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

  10. Privacy Questions and Complaints

    Rewrite Foods Inc. has designated a Privacy Officer to receive questions, access requests and complaints concerning personal information.

    If a change materially affects how we use personal information already collected, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain further consent where required.
